Vision
In this guide we use the phrase Vision as short-hand for purpose and context.
The role of executive management team focus on this part of the Hoshin. They are to manage the portfolio horizontally, prioritising and balancing investment across the Goals and Strategies.
A front-line employee should be able to take the task or initiative they are working on and link it to a Bet, the Strategy, the Goal, and how that serves the purpose of the company and its customers.
Executive leadership can have a first pass of the Goals, but the next level managers take it from here for the “catch-ball” cascade.
